Whoever designed this hotel has probably been in the hotel business or knows how convenience works. It’s nothing out of the ordinary from the outside; it’s just a hotel. But when you walk in, you know it’s a well-oiled machine, with everything working in harmony to achieve a pleasant stay.I am American and live in Cali. I have stayed in Yosemite, SF, Cupertino, Half Moon Bay—I have stayed in thousands of hotels in my life—and this hotel, even though it’s just a building and it’s not in front of the beach, is one of the most convenient hotels I have stayed in.First of all, most units have a kitchenette, which is basically rare for any type of hotel. Second, the fridge is the biggest hotel fridge I have seen. The bathroom is also very well designed, the rooms are very large, and the beds are comfy. Now, the facilities. The gym is almost a fully equipped gym. Yeah, it’s small, but the keyword is “fully equipped,” meaning I can pretty much hit any muscle. It does need some wipes and a water dispenser, but I can do without those since the gym is so great. The restaurant is not expensive, at least for the guests, I’m guessing. It’s Japanese, and Japanese food in Cali costs an arm and a leg, and for this type of quality, I would say it’s very reasonably priced. They also run all kinds of deals. The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. I hope they are getting paid enough. Some look tired, some look very happy, and some are somewhere in the middle, but they are all working super hard. I can only judge based on my experience, and they have been very cordial with me and my demands. I do push sometimes for things, and they haven’t given me any stink looks yet.The laundry is cheap—actually cheaper than other ones I have tried. Some hotels have free laundry, but idk if I like free. Free means everyone throws everything in there 24/7, and maybe the machines aren’t maintained well. For me, the laundry here works great, and it’s right at the hotel entrance. I told you: convenient. Now, the cost. The cost is amazing. If they keep it at this price level, I wouldn’t book anywhere else, tbh.Oh, and the breakfast was good as well, although I don’t really go because, unfortunately, even after COVID, some tourists still don’t mask up or cover up when coughing (you know who they are), and I don’t wanna be the next patient zero. But man, the restaurant is clean and tidy, and the food is absolutely delicious. It’s the first time I have seen sushi on a breakfast menu, and it’s not fake grocery-store sushi—it’s pretty good.So far, I have been here four times during my first visit to Thailand, and I am sure I will book here long-term. The good thing about BKK is that you do not need to be in the city center to experience real Thailand, so don’t think that because it’s close to DMK, you can’t experience things. Muay Thai, good massages, 7-Eleven, temples—everything is a Grab or bus ride away, and there are a bunch of street markets nearby.
